Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of https://iriss.space (the “Site”), the Iris waitlist and any related services operated by Iris (collectively, the “Service”).

By submitting your information through the form on the Site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1.The Service

The Service is a pre-launch waitlist for an upcoming product. By joining the waitlist, you express interest in being notified when the product becomes available. Joining the waitlist does not create an account, grant you access to any paid product or feature, or give rise to any contractual obligation to deliver a product. We reserve the right, at any time and at our sole discretion, to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service or the underlying product, in whole or in part, without notice or liability.

2.Eligibility

You must be at least sixteen (16) years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that the personal information you provide is accurate, current, and belongs to you.

3.Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• submit false, misleading, or impersonated information — including signing up with an email address you do not control;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, the underlying database, or any administrative interface;
• use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to interact with the Service, except for legitimate search-engine indexing in compliance with our robots.txt;
• interfere with the operation of the Service, including by sending excessive or malformed requests, exploiting referral mechanics for abuse, or attempting to manipulate the queue order;
• use the Service in any manner that violates applicable law, infringes intellectual-property rights, or harms third parties.

We may suspend, remove, or refuse signups at our sole discretion if we suspect any violation of this Section 3, including by deleting waitlist entries flagged by our anti-abuse systems.

4.Referrals

The Service offers a referral mechanism through which confirmed waitlist members receive a unique referral code. Sharing the referral link with friends moves the inviter up in the queue when the invitee confirms their email. The number of places earned per referral and the resulting queue position are determined at our sole discretion and may change without notice.

Self-referrals, multi-account schemes, and any coordinated effort to artificially inflate referral counts are prohibited and will result in the credit being denied or revoked.

5.No Warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. Your use of the Service is at your sole risk.

Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that any particular position on the waitlist will translate into early access, a discount, an invitation, or any other benefit when, or if, the underlying product launches.

6.Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Iris, its operators, contributors, or sub-processors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your access to or use of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

7.Intellectual Property

All intellectual-property rights in the Service, including the name “Iris,” the wordmark, the design language, the source code, and the editorial content, remain the exclusive property of Iris, save where otherwise indicated. These Terms do not grant you any licence to use those rights.

8.Privacy

Our handling of your personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms. By using the Service, you consent to that handling.

9.Termination

You may withdraw from the Service at any time, and have your personal data permanently erased, by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send you. We may, at our sole discretion and without notice, terminate or suspend your access to the Service for any breach of these Terms or for any other reason, including if we discontinue the Service.

10.Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top of this page reflects the latest version. Material changes will be communicated by email to confirmed waitlist members. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of an update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

11.Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute relating to the Service or to these Terms shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent French courts, save for mandatory rules to the contrary protecting consumers in their country of residence.
